Klopman International is the leading European manufacturer of textiles for the work- and protective-wear industry. It produces in Frosinone (Italy) and Monastir (Tunisia), with sales offices in Western and Eastern Europe. In 2007 it had revenues for €125 mln. It had been acquired by BS Private Equity in 2004.

The acquisition of Klopman gives our client considerable consolidation opportunities in the international market, which has a total size of over US$ 5 billion, with the advantage of a European brand and fibers with high technological content.

The transaction proved complex due to geographical distance and different business cultures, as well as the weakness of the target’s results, which required a substantial effort of analysis and communication on the part of the advisory team.
