Penta Diet is an Italian company which operates as a market leader in the offer of personalized ketogenic diets for different diseases (mainly obesity, diabetes, metabolic syndromes and headache). Moreover, the Company has developed a wide range of protein products (that can be integrated with the diet program) distributed online.

Cross Border supported the ownership in the research of a financial operator able to support the growth of the company with market knowledge, managerial skills and relevant e-commerce competences. An Italian investment company, which operates on the market through club deals, was identified as the ideal partner. The transaction took the form of a leveraged buyout with the participation of the original entrepreneur as a 30% shareholder.

Cross Border managed the entire sale process, as exclusive advisor, starting from the selection of possible counterparties, through the preparation of documentation for investors and at last assisting Penta Diet in structuring the transaction, in the due diligence and in the negotiation.
